Crowd favorite Off Off Broadway…ish reinvents and performs musicals you’ve probably never heard of with the help of the audience and their twisted minds. Winner of the 2024 Improv Throwdown.
Theater tech is where my improv life and my engineering brain overlap.
I’ve tech directed more than a dozen improv, sketch, and musical productions at Stomping Ground Comedy Theater, handling lighting design, sound, projections, and live streaming. The fun part: running cues for shows that are made up on the spot. There’s no script and no rehearsal for tonight’s scene, so the booth has to listen like an improviser does and land the blackout or the sound cue right when the scene needs it.

The Drawing Room: An Improvised Regency Play
In this evening of unscripted elegance, The Drawing Room takes a single suggestion from the audience and spins it into a full-length play worthy of Jane Austen herself. From the scandalous whispers of a ballroom to the sweeping moors of the countryside, every character, secret engagement, and dramatic swoon is created live on the spot.
Thunderdome
Stomping Ground THUNDERDOME is a competition-style improv show where individual improvisers compete to win in the future dystopian arena of SG until only one improviser is left as the victor! (In April 2026 I swapped the booth for the arena and competed.)

They’ll move throughout the theater for drinks, dinner, dessert, and one big night of drama.
The Last Five Years
An emotionally powerful and intimate musical sprinkled with humor, The Last Five Years tells the bittersweet tale of a relationship between two young artists. The storytelling is non-linear: Cathy, a struggling actor, starts her tale at the end of the marriage, working backwards through the timeline. Jamie, a literary prodigy, begins his at the onset of the relationship. Whose Mind Is It Anyway? An Artificial Intelligence Experience
Co-created with Lynsey Hale. AImee, our bespoke Artificial Intelligence, and her befuddled Lab Assistant lead a team of performers through a grand experiment into human behavior that questions AI’s role in creativity (and improv comedy). It returned in late 2024 as Artificial Reality Meets Artificial Intelligence, a live, unscripted social experiment.
Midnight Vault: An Improvised B Movie
Midnight Vault presents an improvised low-budget horror film (e.g. Plan Nine from Outerspace), hosted by a campy horror-themed persona (ala. Count Floyd or the Crypt Keeper) in the style of late-night midnight movies.
